Procedure Questions:
-
What is your
service area? Our routes run North Carolina, South Carolina. Call for more details.
-
What is your
schedule? Normal delivery is weekly in season, October through April,
and otherwise bi-weekly. Most items are returned in one cycle. Some
jobs including large repairs can take an extra cycle.
-
What are your
terms? We supply invoices with each delivery. Many accounts pay cash
upon delivery. With credit approval, we can provide monthly statements
and terms.
-
Why do you require a care
label to process a garment? Wearing apparel is covered by the Federal
Trade Commission's (FTC) Care Label Rule. Textile garments sold in the
United States must have a permanent, legible care label attached in a
conspicuous place. All parts of the garment must be able to withstand

Storage
Information
-
What
are the conditions for fur storage? Exact terms and conditions are a
part of our service contract that is provided for use with each
garment. The limit-of-liability we assign to each garment is based on
this contract and the price for storage.
-
Why
shoud I store a fur? Fur life can be greatly increased with proper care
which includes summer storage. Our vaults have environmental , insect,
safety controlls. They are AA-central station and UL approved.
-
How are
furs cleaned? Our Nu-glo cleaning is a non-emersive method used by the
fur industry. Furs are tumbled in a petroleum and sawdust mixture,
instead of using a liquid. This adds luster to the fur without changing
the shape or color.
-
Does Jones
Fabricare repair furs? Yes, and we provide a free estimate service so
you know the cost before we complete the work.
-
Does Jones
Fabricare monogram? Yes, we monogram name or initials on fur linings.
This is important for identification and should be top on each
fur-owner's mind.
-
Do you do
appraisals on furs? Yes we perform both replacement value appraisals
for basic homeowner's coverage, and estate appraisals.
-
Leather Services
-
Do you dye
leather? Although we use dye in our processes, we cannot change the
color of a garment. It is too difficult to predict the manner in which
the leather will accept our dye.
-
Why does
leather sometimes change color or texture in processing? We follow the
manufacture's label in cleaning each and every leather garment.
However, as we did not control the processes used in tanning, there are
times when the “hand” or finish of a leather will change.
-
Does Jones
Fabricare require garment owner's to sign a Release prior to
processing? Yes, we provide Releases at no charge to cleaners and
requre them to be sign by consumers to build expectations toward what
can be expected with leather cleaning. We also require a copy if there
is ever a claim.
-

to preserve wedding gowns? We are a licensee of
Prestige Preservation Program, a nationwide company that licenses its
exclusive preservation methods and systems to the top specialty
cleaning processors in the United States and Canada. See our web site
for full information on this system at www.prestigepreservation.com.
-
Does

provided with each gown preserved.
